Counselling Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy, in a nutshell, aims to address an individual's personal difficulties. Whether that comes from dealing with chronic pain, bereavement, bullying, stress, anxiety, relationship or family issues, depression, a traumatic event, addiction, eating disorder or otherwise, psychotherapy can help you!

Chiropractic

Chiropractors are known for treating conditions relating to the spine, however, they are qualified to care for many things relating to the entire musculoskeletal system - don't leave out the neck, back, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles! Chiropractors also commonly treat headaches, jaw pain, wee babies, and discomfort that may be experienced throughout pregnancy.

Registered Massage Therapy

A massage from a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) can help you with so much more than just relaxation. Massage therapy is also one of the most effective ways to treat soft tissue & is the perfect complement to Chiropractic care. Whether you'd like a therapeutic, deep tissue, or relaxation massage - this is the place for you!

Manual Osteopathy

Manual Osteopathy is a gentle & non-invasive therapy that focuses on the body as a whole with a hands-on approach, it aims to eliminate pain and restore function by targeting the root causes.

I grew up in Orono and attended school in Newcastle and Bowmanville, I was also heavily involved in the community through the Orono Girl Guides Association; I am so thrilled to serve my hometown!

I have worked with organizations like the UOIT Ridgebacks hockey team and the Whitby Dunlops Senior A men’s hockey team as an athletic trainer. I graduated from UOIT with a Bachelors’ degree in Health Sciences (Honours), specializing in Kinesiology before attending CMCC in Toronto to become a Chiropractor. I have been drawn to the Chiropractic profession since I was a kid, I even did a speech on backpack safety in the 8th grade! After injuring my back in university and seeking care from a Chiropractor, I was sold.

I love helping people move better & recover from injuries. I have experience treating pain in the back, neck, shoulders, knees, hips, ankles, wrists, and have a special interest in helping women tackle pregnancy related discomfort. I am also trained to provide baseline concussion testing, as well as, assess and treat patients post-concussion. I am trained to analyze the cause and repercussions of your pain and offer valuable injury therapy and drug-free pain relief.

I grew up in a small village outside of Stratford but fell in love with the bigger city life when I moved to St. Catharines to study at Brock University. My husband and I are currently living in Oshawa with our young daughter, and I am so excited to be serving the residents of Bowmanville and surrounding areas.

I studied at Brock University where I obtained a four-year Bachelor of Science In Medical Sciences (Honours). My interest in Naturopathic Medicine was sparked during this time, as someone close to me was diagnosed with cancer. We discovered Naturopathic Medicine after completing conventional cancer treatment, and found comfort in knowing there was more that could be done to improve health and decrease the chances of the cancer returning. After this, I did a semester-long independent study where I shadowed Naturopathic Doctors in the Niagara region as well as wrote a paper on Intestinal Permeability. I then went on to receive a four-year Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.

Seeing my patients improving their health and feeling better after naturopathic treatments is such a joy for me. My goal is always to identify the root cause of your concerns and to stimulate the healing powers of the body. My areas of interest include Women’s Health, digestion, and weight management, but I am currently accepting patients with any concerns. Treatments that I use include dietary and lifestyle changes, botanicals, supplements, acupuncture, and more! I look forward to helping you achieve your health goals!

I am a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and am registered and in good-standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario

I graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Trillium College in 2019. I have always been passionate about helping people. I’ve seen how much of a positive impact massage therapy can have on people’s lives, and how it can improve one’s overall health and wellness. I have watched injuries, medical conditions, illnesses, and stress greatly improve through massage, and wants to continue helping people recover from these. I use a variety of techniques with Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, cupping, relaxation techniques, and stretching to help treat each clients according to their individual needs.

Along with massage therapy, I am also passionate about health and fitness. A lot of my spare time is spent at the gym, playing soccer, going for hikes, camping and spending time with my dog. I understand how important being functional and being able to move pain free is. I want to help my clients prevent pain/injury and improve mobility.

My journey into Massage Therapy has been years in the making. Driven by the desire to promote healthy active living, my focus has been on strength, conditioning and mobilization. But there was a missing piece to the puzzle - the ability to provide healing, recovery and pain management. I found the majority of my clients were seeking programs based on pre- or post-surgery, and there were countless inquiries on how to work around an injury. I felt the limitations of my scope of practice. It sparked a fire in me. It wasn’t enough to provide an exercise. I wanted to provide treatment plans that would make a positive impact on my client’s well-being beyond the walls of a fitness facility.

With a background in Personal Training and Fascia Stretch Therapy, I can apply my knowledge of exercise science and anatomy to each massage treatment. As a Massage Therapist, I implement a new skill set to assist in relieving muscle tension and reducing stress. I am looking forward to building new balanced foundations for each of my clients!

I am a graduate of Trillium College’s Massage Therapy program, holding honours. I am registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. I actively participate as a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
